ASSIGNMENT:

1. Discuss briefly the various MEDIAS of Communication.
Medias of Communication refer to the vehicles or instruments or channels through which communication is delivered or canalized. The choice of the communication Medias depends upon number of factors like the derived speed, amount of information, cost effectiveness, etc. Numeric communication channels are used like face to face conversation, telephones, tele-conferencing, E-Mail, fax, etc. In addition to these verbal communications, non-verbal communication like communicating through face expressions, body language, etc. are available. But non-verbal communications are not formally used. The formal medias of communication are divided and discussed into two broad categories:-
Oral Communication
Written Communication
ORAL COMMUNICATION:
Oral communication is vital for any business social or political Organization. Whatsoever the form it may assume, it occurs through spoken words, through speech either face to face or through any electrical device such as phone, teleconferencing, public address system, etc.
Effective Oral Communication:
Whatsoever the form it may assume the underlying principles are the same:
1. Pronunciation: All the words should be pronounced correctly and clearly. Bad pronunciation creates adverse image in the mind of the listener.
2. Self Confidence: The person speaking must have self confidence which comes with sufficient knowledge of the subject and overcoming inner inhibitions.
3. Concise and Complete Message: The message to be presented must be concise and complete. Over-loaded message diverts the reader’s attention whereas under loaded message misleads him.
4. Logical Sequence: The speaker should present the message in logical sequence with marshaled arguments. Only then his message will be more vivid and forceful.
5. Natural Voice: The message should be presented in the natural voice. This voice should be made pleasing and clear with practice, confidence, and emotional content.
6. Tone: The tone of the message should be according to the situation so that the message should not only be intelligible to the mind but also appealing to the heart.
7. Variations in the intonation pattern: The sound of the voice should not be steady and flat. There should be variations in the intonation pattern that is both raising as well falling pitch, according the occasion. It definitely creates interest and maintains the attention of the listener.
FACE TO FACE COMMUNICATION:
Face-to-face communication may be between two persons or among small group or gathering of persons. It may also assume the form of Speech or address by one person to an audience. Face-to-Face communication has the same pros and cons as oral communication except the following additional:
Benefits:
a. Control over reader’s attention: Compared with written or telephonic communication, face to face communication provides the advantages of exercising control over reader’s attention. The Speaker can effectively capture the listener’s attention by making his message clear and interesting.
b. Effect of Facial Expressions: Another advantage of face-to-face communication is that the speaker can make it more vivid and forceful by conveying through facial expressions, tone and pitch of the voice.
c. Suitable for Discussions: Face-to-Face communication is most suitable for discussion where instantaneous feedback is imperative. Even communication on telephone or teleconferencing is not as effective as it is in case of face-to-face situation, when a lot of discussion for negotiation, brainstorming or persuasion has to be done.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATION:
Written communication includes written words graphs, charts, reports, diagrams, pictures etc. It comes in a variety of forms. Letters, memos, bulletins, reports etc. It may be ordinary manual based internal or external mail or may be based upon computer technology. Whatsoever the form or channel it may assume, every piece of written communication requires use of human memory, imaginative power, ability to observe and think, mastery over language and ability to write.
FACIMILE(FAX):
A facsimile or fax machine is one of the most useful media for transmission of written especially visual material such as diagrams, copies, etc. Fax machines are connected with telephone both at transmitting and receiving end. In fax a document is fed in the transmitting end which is converted into electrical signals. These signals are transmitted through telephone lines to another fax which reconverts these signals into printed out hand copy. Then the receiving fax machine sends a message confirming the receipt of entire message.
ELECTRONIC MAIL (E-MAIL):
E-mail is another instantaneous medium of communication. It transmits the written message via computers connected on network. For access to network area, a computer, a telephone, a modem with software are needed to function on Email. If the net work is linked with internet it provides the added advantage of global communication at local charges.
2. Which Channel is most suitable?
Each channel or media of communication had its own pros and cons. No channel is absolutely good in all circumstances. Oral communication is best for messages that require a personal dimension, quick feedback and urgency. Written communication works better in formal ways of communication when permanent records are to be maintained or complicated message is to conveyed with pinpointing of responsibility.

MY AIM IN LIFE
In this world we are attracted to different things at different times. And in this world everyone has interest in everything, for instance some would want to be an engineers, some an architects, while others doctors and so on. But people choose only the one profession which they think is best for him or her and suits their individual want. This is what we call having an aim or goal in life, where everyone has something in there mind to do or become when they are grown up. So it is important for all of us to have an aim in life. Everyone in this world wants to reach his or her aim as soon as possible, which is of course not before university. To achieve that goal in life they study hard and do good results in exams. I believe everyone has interest in one thing or the other and everyone also finds their individual interest in different things. Sometimes we often are imposed to do things and at other times we do what we desire. No matter what, we have to make a living or to earn a livelihood, we choose different profession. We all have different goals and set objectives to reach them. My goal is to be an Architect.
To be an Architect is not an easy job. Lot of hard work and determination goes into it. I have decided to take related subjects in my O’Level exams, like Mathematics and Art. And I will try to do my best, at all my exams, especially in mathematics. And I hope that the result is excellent in it and in art too. I have been visiting a number of places with architectural value, some within our city like, Parliament house, Lallbag fort and Ahsan Manzil, etc and still others outside Dhaka like Moynamoti.
I exactly don’t remember since when I want to become an architect. But I do know why I want to become an architect. It is mostly because I find this profession amusing. In this line of profession, I will get to build and create my own imagination into reality. I believe no other profession will give me such an amazing.

My Aim in Life
First of all, I want to say about my aim, so my aim is duel, first is, I want to become Software Engg. and Second is, I want to become popular free style wrestler , because of, I did get three medals in wrestling championship ,that are, Bronze Medal in National Wrestling Championship, which was held in Delhi. Silver Medal in Inter-school Wrestling Championship, which was held in International Hokey Stadium of Sector 42, Chandigarh. There I was loss chance of get gold medal. But I could not do anything because my bout was with Rohit Kanwar ,who won the Bronze medal in Asian Wrestling Champion ship which was held in China, so that time I had no enough experience, like Rohit, Because Rohit had 8 years wrestling experience , and I had 2 years wrestling experience , so that was my fault ,that I was not able to fight that time , because that time I had injury in my right arm, and therefore I was loss my golden opportunity to win gold medal , I was loss my match by point 0-1. After that I was begin to hard practice for further competitions ,so ,one competition was came ,and that was State Level Wrestling championship , and I won Gold medal in that competition by my hard practice , and you can say by help of God ,and God helps everyone , may be that person remember him or not, but god helps everyone without any selfishness , like now a time peoples kill their brothers, fathers for get something , like money, they became very selfishness, they forgot God ,who born them , ok sorry we were gone to another side , so my first Aim is , I want to become Software Engg. Because I know that I can do this, even every person can do anything which they want to do, because nothing is impossible here for me or for every person. I want that my parents should not be in suffering just because of me. Because they invest money for my study, and I want to prove that I can become successful engg. And I am sure that I will become successful engg. And my parent will proud of me. So, this is my aim in my very short life ,because God gave us very limited Life, and very limited breaths , so, we should use this very carefully. Because No one know that when God will call us to come back. I am Very Thank full to you that you are reading my aim and my life in these few words. Thanks Again.
